The neck labels don't have a lot of space to design for. There is a overlap that is needed to secure it, therefore it made sense to keep this part of the design to a minimum. The neck would look very busy if the type was any bigger. Since there is no real structure to the background the type fitted anywhere, having it in the corner allows for the colours to come out and that be the focal point.
