I drew up this design and then scanned it into the computer to digitise.
I wanted to do something quite feminine and quaint, because the product is called 'Grandma's sauces'
The way I did this was to use Times Roman as a base for the font. The Serif font adds to the older classic theme. A lot of the letters aren't of the same rules that a normal font would have. I like this because it adds to the home made natural theme.
After scanning the image in, I image traced it to use with illustrator, but it didn't work out that well. I decided to use Photoshop to add colour and change the spacing of the letters etc.
For the illustrations, I just drew some vines around the lettering to enhance it and make them the focal point.
I chose vines because they're feminine and adding that detail enforces the message of family ran organic food.
