Grids

Muller-Brockmann Grid - Modernist 

• Determine type area
• Divide into 2 columns 
• Divide text columns into 3 fields
• Determine type size and leading
• Insert empty line. Field lines must be separated in order to accommodate gaps between images

Each field should contain a number of lines of type should be able to contain a single line of type. Images places on the adjustment column will perfectly align with the type as will the image captions

We also had to work out the grid on articles we had brought in.

This task was a bit confusing but as I did the first grid I understood why we had to do it. I quite Muller's grid system because it allows the designer to have a lot of power.
