Logostarter Brief, Colour and development

- - I have realised I've spelt organic wrong, but I have changed it for the final piece - -

Trying to the get the logo to look right has taken a lot of time and colour experiments.
I've struggled a lot with trying to get the colours to suit the idea of organic natural foods.

A quick way to experiment with colours was to do a couple of letters a time.

I think having the letters fully coloured in makes the letters look a bit neater, rather than the outlined ones below. Although I like the negative space, I would only do on a very good drawing or digital font

I couldn't work out what colours I wanted to go with. I've been picturing browns and greens to look really good, and although I worked with them the most I'm still now happy. I think the colours can be very flat and make the label look flat and boring.
I was thinking of using oranges and reds because thats the colours of peppers but I'm not sure if again it's too flat

I'm playing around with more colours here and background colours. I thought adding a background colour would make it more of a label for a bottle but also make the whole logo less flat. These colours make it very flat though which I have changed.

Here I've added a drop shadow to try and make it less flat and a bit more interesting to look out. I definitely think the drop shadow helps, but still think it's a bit flat and boring.

I tried black but think its a bit too dark and intense for this kind of product.
