Stuidio Brief 2, What is a book? Layout

Fred showed us how to draw up layouts quickly by using thumbnails. Thumbnails are small versions of a layout, but by using this techniques it is easy and quick to draw a range of different options.

First you have to think about how much body copy you have, then the images. We have used modular grids to do this, to keep it simple for now.

These a few more I drew up on a larger scale that I want to use for my double page spreads, drawing them up by hand is a lot easier than trying to do it digitally straight away. This way I have something to work off and can always change it around if it doesn't work.
