I personally really like this song so it came quite easy to get an idea of what to do. This song came out during the 90's rave scene which is very visual. It was colourful, energetic, full of drugs and lasers.
I think it would work well to depict the lasers, rather than a druggy looking cover.
I started digital straight away with drawing lines in a lot of different colours to represent the bright colours from the age and the lasers.
These compositions weren't working because there was too much colour. Experimenting with stroke weight helped to release the thin lines look better. Possibly black background is better as well because it highlights the colour more. I think there is too much going on in these designs however, there is too many lines and directions. A simpler look may look more appealing.
